23/12/24 New Products for 2025
CARTEK are proud to announce new Battery Isolators and Power Distribution Modules to be released in 2025.
The new Battery Isolator ‘X-Club’ and Battery Isolator X-‘Pro’ are the next generation of Battery Isolator from CARTEK. They have been designed to be more cost effective, with better performance and improved fault diagnosis features compared to the previous generation of Battery Isolators ( GT & XR) . These Battery Isolators will be available to purchase from January 2025.
The CARTEK Battery Isolator X-Club is designed to be a cost effective option – optimised for race and rally cars running production based engines that are stock or mild tune, up to 3L capacity and maximum 6 cylinders. Typical applications are Mazda MX-5, Honda Civic Type R, Renault Clio, Formula Ford, bike-engined formula cars etc. More information can be found in the User Manual here.
The CARTEK Battery Isolator X-Pro has been designed to work on every type of car and high performance engine. The Engine Kill Output is configurable in 5A steps (up to 20A) and it is also fitted with a Deutsch DT connector which is commonly used and sourced in the motorsport sector. More information can be found in the User Manual here.
We will also be releasing two new 4 & 5 channel Power Distribution Modules in late Q1 2025.
- Small, lightweight, robust design – just 110g.
- Fully potted for protection from water and dirt, shock and vibration.
- All connections via sealed 12 pin Deutsch DT connector.
- Maximum output current can be configured in 5A steps (20A max) per channel. Selectable ‘Soft Start’ option for driving devices with high inrush such as fans or pumps. Outputs can be combined for higher current.
- Tripped outputs can be reset by either performing a power cycle or by pressing the button on the PDM device.
- Control inputs can be configured for high or low level signal activation, rising edge or falling edge triggers, or PWM input signals (200hz max).
- Outputs have selectable functions including Flashing (for indicators), Time delay On (for heated screens etc), Time delay Off (to operate fans when car is switched off).
- Both PDM’s have a configurable ‘Aux’ Input pin that can act as an Ignition input e.g. signal from Battery Isolator, master switch or ignition switch.
- RGB status LED’s on PDM indicate status of Inputs and Outputs.
- PDM-05 can be configured to become a dedicated Headlight or Spot Lamp controller.
- PDM-04C has four power outputs plus CAN Bus connectivity for transmitting diagnostic data including output status, volts, amps, configuration settings, etc. Outputs can also be operated through CAN Bus.
- All programming is through integrated pushbutton on PDM – no laptop required.
